About

Hi! I’m Kari Storla, a communication professor teaching in Los Angeles.

I have a B.A. in speech with a concentration in public and political communication and a minor in applied linguistics from Georgia State University, where I graduated summa cum laude with advanced and research honors in 2011.

I received the Kell Award, given to the graduating senior with the highest GPA.

Myself, Georgia State University President Mark Becker, and other graduating students

In 2012 I moved cross-country to attend graduate school at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

While there, I discovered my passion for teaching, seeking out every pedagogical opportunity I could find.

After earning my PhD in communication in 2017, I began working as an adjunct professor in the Los Angeles area, teaching classes such as public speaking, argumentation, media professions, and gender communication.

In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, cooking, and dabbling in DIY.
